newgen errors deleting my map

ever since i got newgen it gives me errors at random times
and when it has the error it deletes my map!
(completely it wasnt even in the recycling bin)
the first time it did the error i didnt notice it deleted it until a while later
luckily i had deleted an older version and i found it when i was searching through the bin.
i made a copy of the old version and opened it up and started working again when an error came up and WE closed out
then i look for the copy of the my map and it is gone.

Find out why the errors are happening. Your description is too...wide for us to be able to help. I've never had a problem like you are describing, so am sceptical that "it deletes my map!".

Here are some questions to for you to answer, to help with troubleshooting:

• Are you using a cracked version of Warcraft?
• Would a reinstall of either/both NewGen or Warcraft help?
• Do you have the latest patch?
• Have you told to NewGen save the map in a different place that what you are expecting?
• Have you read up on proper installation of NewGen?
• What do the errors say? is it a compiling or scripting error on your part or is it the Windows Error screen that pops up?

That's all the useful questions I can think of at the moment.

I don't know if that can help, but, do you have Auto-save on?
If so, make sure whenever you make an if, a function, or anything that has to be ended, close it asap (like say you add an If, close it immediately, THEN add stuff to it ^^)

Why? Because unended things crash (well, at least, they do on my computer)

Also do that for units and models. Something might be making your map crash. Find out which one is making it crash, and either replace it or dont use it.

Also another thing; make a new map, import things one by one.

if by cracked you mean a version that doesnt require a cd, then no.
i am however using a non-legit copy of TFT.
the walmart here doesnt sell TFT by its self, only in battle chest and i already have ROC =[

no

no i dont even think it is "installed" at all
when i downloaded it i clicked newgen warcraft and it gave me an error
so i clicked newgenWE and it gave a different error
so i clicked some msdos batch file and it opened some sort of command prompt and did stuff.
then i clicked newgenWE and it opened.

i believe it is a windows error saying that world editor encountered a problem and had to close. i am not 100% sure.

yes but i was not working with triggers.
i was surfing TH.net the first time i got an error
and the second time i was replacing one tile with a different one.

i will try to reproduce the error

i just noticed that my custom team colors are messed up now too.
the imports used to be 2 3 and 4 kb files
they are now all 1kb
and the team colors have returned to normal.

Well if you were surfing TH.net when it happened, it's obviously because of auto-save

And it's not because you werent WORKING on triggers that problem isnt in them, if you left anything wrong in them when you stopped working on them the problem might be there (unless you have absolutely nothing in triggers)

the spoiler tags dont seem to be working
but as you can see. the custom team colors no longer work.
they used to be the same color as the region they are in.

my recycling bin is empty and there are 3 copies of my map on the desktop
