no unit model file/SC-like armor

I have to questions:
1 How to make a unit look like nothing (dummycaster)

2 Im want armor thst works similar as the armor in Starcraft so that 1 armor decreases all damage taken by 1 (not a percentage). I was using hardened skin for that with 4 levels (unupgraded and three upgrades), and the upgrades works with triggers.
But the armor doesnt work, it should decreases all attacks with 1 damage but it deos nothing? anyone knows something I dont?

About first one, you can use 'Tree of Life upgrade ability', or just type in '.mdl' manually.

I haven't used hardened skin alot, so i'm not sure how it works.

Hardened Skin should work like this
All attacks (no spells) are reduced by X to a minumum of Y

but even if i set damage reduction to a zillion nothing will happen?

After some testing it seems to work like this
All attacks (no spells) will do Y damage

wich isnt very good , I dont think it works like this in the acual game, so im probably doing something wrong.

I fixed it, instead of using an abbility with 4 levels I just use 4 abbilities,
and reducing damage by 0 shouldnt be used on hardened skin either.
