One Quick Question?

In what way are
Combat - Animation Backswing Point
and
Combat - Animation Damage Point related?
I need this to determine the time till an attack was made and the projectile was launched in the case of ranged attackers.
Is there an equation to it? i searched the forums...but all i got are wrong estimates.

Backswing + Damage + Cooldown = Attack speed (well, more or less)

Backswing: the Footman raises his sword,
Damage point: he hits the target,
Cooldown: the idle time between attacks.

Put In a simpler way

Backswing + damage point = How long the actual attack takes
So If .5 + .3 = Total time for attack .8
Cooldown = Time Between attacks

The BAck Swing and Damage point are what creates youe units max attack speed. You will never be able to attack faster then .8 no matter how much you level, on the other hand you can reduce the cooldown by levels aand abilitys, but you will still be limited by the .8

But i have a map here which helps you experiment about this.
Its a little bit different from what you said.
Test the formula in the map yourself.
