How hard is to make a site using Oracle as a SQL language? Can it be used directly with PHP? All you need is a server with Oracle support or do you need to do more complicated things?

You need the OCI8 or PDO-OCI modules. I'd pick the latter as you can reuse most of your existing DB-function calls as well as queries. Note that your MySQL bastard-queries may not work, as things like "limit" don't exist in Oracle databases. You have to write them the proper way, using subqueries.
