While that may seem a bit excessive, I like all of them. They're all in easy reach, and they provide enough letters to fill up a building with all twelve slots, and are all in easy reach of my left hand; I don't use my thumb unless it's pressing spacebar, so. To me, Y is too much of a reach, if B is free. >> Lazy, yeah, but.

Seems I'll have to figure out some good hotkey system with these guidelines:

• Easy to use
• Easy to reach A and F1
• Doesn't use Q

Following this guidelines, I created this:
WERTFG:

• Little finger on A
• Ring on W
• Middle on E
• Index on R
• Move index for TFG.

How does that seem? :thup:

I dont really like this kind of position.

One suggestion is using the Warlock style spells, like this:

Interface:
[Move]    [Stop]    [Hold]    [Attack]
[Patrol]   [N/A]     [D-Spell] [F-Spell]
[Z-Spell] [X-Spell] [C-Spell] [V-Spell]

I would suggest the following buttons:

X-C-V-B and above them is D-F-G
You can reach A with your little finger, S too, and reach H very easily.
I know they are a bit close to each other, but it can be used to.

I would say SDFGBN:

• Little on S.
• Ring on D.
• Middle on F.
• Index on G.
• Thumb on B and N.
• Easy to reach A and F1 with little-finger.

Then I'd have to move the hotkey for stop. Instead of moving Stop I could use WERTGH tho, just moving it all up on button. Ah, it's hard to decide! :banghead:

Its basically the same position but without any default hotkey mix ups

No idea XD, but thats the gist of it.

Maybe you could make 2 copies of your spells, then have a "Do you have an AZERTY keyboard?" dialog

btw: V is used in spanish and french wc3 versions for AValance / Venceremos (move).
qwerty is maybe a bit unfair to europeans if y is used often. at last on german keyboards its qwertz.
