Preposition problem

experience for what's about to come
and not a misguidance of
what's already gone

I'm having a lil bit of a problem with the word 'of'.

Instead of (hah funny)

and not a misguidance of what's already gone

would

and not a misguidance caused by what's already gone

make more sense?

Also, does 'misguidance' sound weird in this context? Is there a better word? I'm not really sure what I'm looking for exactly

I prefer it as it is. "Caused by" interrupts the flow for me.
But yeah, misguidance is fine :3

Keep it as "of." "Caused by" is the same exact thing that ruins the flow.
