Question About Unit Types

There are several unit types in the game:
Light, Armored, Massive, Biological, Psionic, and Mechanical(maybe more don't have a complete list). Each one of these has benifits and drawbacks according to the attacking units weapon. Some weapons do more to light others to armor, but what happens in a custom map when attack bonuses and penalties are given to a unit that attacks a unit with two types of flags such as this example:


Lets say I have a Marine his attack is:
Damage: 10
Damage vs Light: 12
Damage vs Mechanical: 8


Now lets say I have a custom Hellion who just happens to be:
Light Mechanical

Does my marine do 8,10, or 12 damage?

How do you know which type of attack modifier will take precedence in this type of situation?

Why not test it and find out.

It could work in a few ways.

Damage + Extra damage which is 30.

Lowest damage which is 8

Highest damage which is 12

average of both which is 10

Would be interesting to know

I'm gonna take a complete shot in the dark and guess it will deal 10, because it deals +2 to light and -2 to mechanical so they cancel out eachother
