Question on First Person Perspective

Hi everyone,

Is there any way to make the camera have the perspective of a unit?
I.E. make the player see the world through the eyes of a unit?

I will be grateful for any help.

Well, there is no direct function but by playing around with the cameras target, height, distance, pitch, roll and other factors, you can come close.

Are there any tutorials on the web that explain how this could be done?

Also, can you explain more about the factors of a camara? For example, I'm not sure what the roll, target mean.

Here is a list of tutorials at the top. If you look down, you'll see a Camera tutorial.

But, since it said Third-Person Camera, if you think of having the camera placed in the head of a unit, but everything else remained unchanged, then you'll have your First Person Camera.

A Third Person Camera = First Person Camera + Distance away from the unit's back.
