Replacing a Dead Hero

This question has been nagging me all morning, cause it affects something on my map, but I'm not at home with editor to test. I'm inpatient so I'm curious if anyone else knows.

If you replace a hero who is currently dead or being revived with another hero, will the new hero also be dead or will he start alive, and also where would the new unit appear on the map, if the original is currently dead, the spot where he died?

I don't really know without testing, but I expect that the new unit would appear where the old hero died, and would be living. That's my guess.

i don't think u can replace a dead unit since when it's dead it doesn't count as unit so unless u create a unit at the postion of dying unit i don't think u can replace it

It's a hero not a regular unit, and the hero is set as a unit variable.

But don't dead units still occupy spaces in Unit Group variables?

Unit groups? Whats that have to do with anything.

I'd be calling the Unit Action - Replace HeroVariable with New Hero

meh oh well, I'll just be patient and test when I'm home.

I was meaning that a dead unit doesn't simply dissappear, it still affects other aspects of triggers and such, so it might be more likely to work in this case.
