Do the save/load systems save variables to the computer itself? Can a code be made so that it is only usable for the one computer to load a hero, the same code won't load for other players?
They often convert units, items, gold... into code, and when you load, they decode it creating a completely new unit with the same stats, items, level, and all that you saved it with.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
