I have been having a problem with my new computer, as I very often (1-2 times a day) get BSOD's and around 20 times a day, the screen begins lagging and then goes black for 2-5 seconds, then gets normal again.
(There is also a few varities, where various other stuff happen, like only making half of the screen visible.)

Every time the black thing happens, a message reading something along the lines of: "The screen driver stopped responding, and has been rebooted.
Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver version 186.31, has stopped working."

Now, the weird thing is, that this only (VERY few exceptions) happen when i browse the net.
For instance, i can run CoD MW2 with no problems at all, while the screen has already got black 3 times during writing this post.
Especially YouTube videos seem to make it crash.

My computer is an "Asus X71V"

My system specs is:

Processor: Intel Core™2 Duo P8400
Display: WTGA+
HD: 2x 250 GB
Ram: 4 GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Edition
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT, with 1GB VRAM

I hope you guys can find a solution to this.

just wondering, can you download newer drivers from nvidia or do you have to use the ones from asus or MS? - I would try changing the drivers, try from all 3 until it works if you need to

I have tried asus and nvidia.
Asus couldn't install, and nvidia didn't work.

I would ask asus's support then - if their own drivers don't install, something's wrong with their stuff
