Stupid Patrol.

Whenever I make my units patrol long distances, they always start to go up, and then about halfway through they correct themselves and get back on path. How do I fix this?

I don't think there is a way to "fix" it unless you put pathing blockers. Its just bad pathing AI.

why do patrol? if u are having trouble just make a region at each point u want it to go to(Start and end) then make a trigger that says when a unit enters this region order unit to attack ground at other region.

The Attack ground thing is so taht if it encouters an enemy on the way then it will attack it then go back to moving to the region. dont forget to put a condition that specifies which unit goes into the region to do the actions.

If you are using 2 regions to make them patrol back and forth, put a few regions inbetween to keep them going strait.

Yes, thats what I meant when I said "using 2 regions", but if you go long distances with those, they tend to curve to the left or the right due to the pathing AI's incompetence.

Yeah, that helped. I put a region halfway between two others and they stopped curving.
