I will show you how to make damage apply over unit in 9 fast wayes:

This is the most easiest thing i done but it is very good for newbies,even for good map makers.

Let's get started:

1) Open your editor:

2) Then open object editor

3) Go under abilities

4) Make custom ability Titled : Damage (Critical strike is the best to base on)

5) After that set damage multiple (it is 2,change it to 1.00 or 1.1)

6) Set targets allowed:all

7) Go to units

8) Give that ability to unit.

9) Test your map!

Woola!You got your own damage shower.Isn't that nice for a 2 minutes job. :thup:

I impressed my self with this :D



Note:Maybe an bit stupid for Multiple player map,but for single player is good.
Also,if you only want that one type of unit wants to have damage show,just add to that unit ability ''Damage''.

Please leave comment or something like that.I want to see did I helped someone.

EDIT:I didn't say an word about spell damage,only for damage in combat...

Doesn't seem like damage detection system to me... >.<

Damage detection system is used for the moment a unit recieves damage either from physical damage or magical damage. It's important when you want the system to detect when the missile or physical hit actually reaches or touches the target and then runs the trigger.

I didn't said that this is my system,neither that is some kind of system.I only figured it out...but this is good only for noobs as I said...

Well for spell damage,you need to make something else than this.I'm sorry if this was too bit noobish... :(

Well it would be nice with this function but it takes up one of the spell slots available, so it would be nice if its made by triggers instead :l (maybe it's just a few but some; as you hear many "noobs" ask, they wonder how to give more spells to the hero, this would restrict them).

You can always add to down slot of abilities so you don't have to loose hero abilities or item abilities...
