Sci/Tech Thanks to Olympics, Beijing gets its Eiffel Tower, of sorts.

BEIJING — London has Big Ben, Paris has the Eiffel Tower , San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge and now Beijing has an iconic structure that's likely to identify the city forever.

It's an audacious monolith that looks like two drunken high-rise towers leaning over and holding each other up at the shoulders.

Article says they also built some other buildings for the olympics, like the bird's nest stadium and the water cube aquarium. Pretty cool. Seems like China's making the effort to not only make their country look great to Olympians, but to also open up communication with the outside world.
