Let's say I have a timer array called "Timer_A [1], Timer_A [2], Timer_A [3], Timer_A [4]"

Now. If I use this timer array for an ability where the timer will be reset every time the ability is used. Something like this:

Interger array variable: Stacking [x]

Trigger 1
Events - A unit starts the effect of an ability
Conditions - Ability being cast equal to "Stack"
Actions -
If
Stacking [1] is equal to 5
Then
Create a dummy unit at position of triggering unit
Set level of Dummy Stack for last created unit to Stacking [1]
Run timer Timer_A [1] as a one shot timer for 10 seconds
Else
Set Stacking [1] to Stacking [1] + 1
Create a dummy unit at position of triggering unit
Set level of Dummy Stack for last created unit to Stacking [1]
Run timer Timer_A [1] as a one shot timer for 10 seconds

Trigger 2
Events - Timer Timer_A [1] expires
Conditions -
Actions -
Set Stacking [1] to 0

The question:

Multiple units can use this ability, meaning that Timer_A [x to y] will run at different times. So can the timer array run several different timers at once or will it cause a problem?

Edit:
I know the triggers are leaking and are missing some actions. Carry on :)

The Timer array is just a list of timers, each working on itself, individually, so y, it will work (unless every unit gets its own timer, obviously). The Problem with timer arrays usually is that you will have to manually add every single timer to the trigger event, which is either impossible or extremely ugly if you have a dynamic amount of timers required.

no you can use a for each integer a to add the timer events on MI.
for each integer a 1 - # of timers
add event to trigger 2 timer [integer a] expires

Thanks for the replies guys.

I have a bonus question. Can this timer array be used to run several different periodic timers as well?
Timer_A [1] = every 2 seconds
Timer_A [2] = every 0.5 seconds
and so on...

The 'several different periodic timers' that you mentioned is in fact the event when the timer expires. Whenever the timer expires (or hits zero), the event will be triggered. So regardless of what the value of the timer is, it will always work as it should.

Unless, of course, I'm missing something here.
