Using spells in cinematics

Hi guys, I'm creating a cinematics part where I would like to know how to order a hero to cast a spell while in cinematics.
For example, order the Blood mage to use Flame strike. I tried going to special effects and creating the 'flame strike' in one area, but it's kinda weird since the blood mage seems to be not doing anything and this pillar of fire appears out of nowhere.
Plz help...
