Well, depends if your variable changes throughout teh game, then under where u have set variable xyz = i you have an if/then/else action have teh IF to be xyz=0 then do your kickign actions else do nothing.

Otherwise if it doesnt change you would have to do a periodic event with that if/then/else action. that would cause alot fo lag proabably though, depending on hwo often it checks.

ok it didnt work, i thought it wud, it is logical. anyways. my variable is lives and it is plugged into a leaderboard as the value of player 11 dg which is the owner of he creeps after they have entered the lane (its a hero line war map) so i wnat to make it so that when the value of lives=0 the game ends for the team whos lives are 0

Well, you have to change triggering to something probably like owner of killing unit, but you get the jist of it

Code:
Untitled Trigger 001
    Events
    Conditions
    Actions
Set Lives[(Player number of (Triggering player))] = (Lives[(Player number of (Triggering player))] - 1)
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
            If - Conditions
Lives[(Player number of (Triggering player))] Equal to 0
            Then - Actions
Game - Defeat (Triggering player) with the message: Defeat!
            Else - Actions

oh well then u just do:

Code:
Untitled Trigger 001
    Events
Unit - A unit enters Kill Region <gen>
    Conditions
    Actions
        Set Lives = (Lives - 1)
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
            If - Conditions
                TempInteger Equal to 0
            Then - Actions
Game - Defeat (Triggering player) with the message: Defeat!
            Else - Actions

For the love of...

Periodic Trigger With No Memory Leaks = :D
Periodic Trigger With Memory Leaks = :(

You can have loads of well written periodic triggers running every .01 seconds, with no lag at all.
But, if there are memory leaks, then it builds up and creates lag.

Running every .01 seconds is pointless, if anything have it .02, twice as slow! I usually just do .05- .1 for those. And it works perfectly. If a computer is slow enough, it will lag if the trigger is long enough. Some old computer can't just handle that stuff anymore.
