What is "factor"?

I see the word "factor" everywhere in the WE but I don't know what it is. I tried to use the dictionary but it seem to have diferent meaning from what i see in the dictionary. Could anyone tell me pls? For example: damage factor, hero revive time factor - what are those?

Can you be more specific in what factor you're referring to? Damage Factor Medium? Small? Loss Factor?

in that context, it sounds like a constant that would be used to modify something in general - let me give an example with 3 hero's

hero A deals damage i * x per attack
hero B deals j * x per attack
hero C deals k * x per attack

the damage factor would be x, so that if at some point the hero's did too little damage with regular attacks vs spells, changing x from 1.0 to 1.2 would make it easy to tweak the balance of the game

similarly perhaps a hero's revive time is 10 + 5 * the hero level
the 5 would be the revive time factor
