A number you can use in triggers, I haven't found any other use for it...
In RPGS I usualy do a trigger that adds XP equal to the unit you kills' Point Value wich makes it easier to controll the XP.
In TDs the point value can represent the amont of gold that you gain when you sell the tower, this makes its a lot esaier.
As I said, i have no clue what it's properly used for..
It's a value you set in the object editor for units.
IIRC, it has something to do with awarding points to players who kill the given unit. The 'points' being the scores at the end of the game.
Nobody really uses it this way though. As you access the value with triggers, it makes it great to use as a constant value for unit types.
Some examples are mentioned in post #2.
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
