Will ownership change back if the unit dies?

Trigger:
  • Cast spell Pupet master
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to Puppet Master
    • Actions
      • Unit - Change ownership of (Target unit of ability being cast) to (Owner of (Triggering unit)) and Retain color
      • Set PupptUnit = (Target unit of ability being cast)
      • Wait (2.00 + (Real((Level of Puppet Master for (Triggering unit))))) seconds
      • Unit - Change ownership of PupptUnit to (Previous owner) and Retain color

This spell can only be cast on heroes.
Will ownership change back if the hero dies while under "the effect"? Or could ANYTHING ELSE happen that would place the unit under (owner of (trg unit)) possession for the rest of the game?

As I see it, the only thing that could permantly change the ownership would be if the spell was cast two times immidiately after one another since the variable unit would change, and the first affected unit would be locked under the new ownership

if two or more units cast this spell one the same unit, there will be some bug, and the hero will be owned by the player before the last owner

I don't think that ownership will change back if he dies, and i don't think anything else will do so either, think it's kinda permanent without using the same action again :D

There is only one of this unit in the game, the spell (obviously) has a long cooldown, and can therefor only be used once per XX minutes. That is not a problem.

So if PupptUnit dies while under another player's command, how can I make sure that...

Would this work:

? Can it change owner of a target that is dead?

Well, have you tried it yourself ???
Otherwise, just test it out, and if it works, it works XD otherwise not :D
