Wondering

I lay across a thousand blades, wondering at how the world
Can hold so many different shades, and catch my eye with every turn
And loll of my head from side to side, visions mixing and becoming swirled
As they clash together and noisily collide.

Through all of this I hope to learn, to realize the reality of what is true
And what truth is when I return, the morality of my own being calls
Into question any chance at true redemption, and one day I’ll come to rue
My foolish choice of God’s exemption.

I’ve placed myself within these walls, but now all that I need’s escape
To the bottom my being falls, until the darkness begins to steal
Memories of life and all its wonder, and instead fills my head with murder and rape
And death and pain and loved ones asunder.

The light breaks through and again love I feel, and the beauty and awe of all that surrounds
Gently accentuates the end of my ordeal, while the revelations all seem to fade away
Into the past except for just one, that to believe in something Greater makes one’s self sound,
Even if it’s as simple as the light of the Sun.

I really don't know what this is, or where it came from. Just felt like working an unusual rhyme scheme, and this shit came out. Oh well. The scheme I went by is:
A,B / A,C / D,B / D
C,E / C,F / G,E / G
F,H / F,I / J,H / J
I,K / I,L / M,K / M

Cool. I'd seriously dig into later, but from what I caught by just reading it once I could tell that you wrote something good.
