Ability detection

Good afternoon!

I have a question.
Is it possible, on kill, to make the game register, which spell or attack killed the unit, without some sort of damage detection mod (which probably doesn't work like that anyways, but I don't really know)?

Can you be more descriptive? What do you mean by "register"? Are you wanting to save it to a variable or use it to trigger an event?

No there is no way. Without very complicated custom damage systems at least.

I don't know how I can be more decriptive in that sense, but I could give you an example.

Hero 1 kills Hero 2 with Shockwave, Hero 1 gains 40 mana and 2 Strength from the kill.
If Hero 1 kills Hero 2 with War Stomp, no stats or mana are given.

Here is my example:
Hero 1 casts Shockwave (dummy), it creates a dummy unit which casts the real Shockwave.
If Hero 2 is killed by UnitType of dummy unit, then add whatever stats etc.

You also need to add the ability "Rally" to the dummy unit and set its rally point to the original caster, this way you can keep it MUI without an indexing system or similar mumbojumbo.
