That's an option. Chups is not making the mercenaries free at all. The only thing is will you add the mercenaries in the map?

Advancements for the Mage/blah is not created yet? I didn't notice that..
Isn't the crusader having high defense and the knight having high attack? Or am I just wrong..

Crusaders should have magic attacks, and knight should have physical attacks...

For the mercs my thought is to have them be units but have them uprade with triggers, like after a certain amount of time (15 min?) have them upgrade to a level 2 with more hp, att, arm.
but base it on game time so that all mercs are balanced and give them skills unavailable to heroes

You mean like evolution? Nah, they're supposed to be fighting, if they do nothing they get a promotion? Well that would be weird..

White Magician
At Moment of upgrade:
+70 hp
+100 sp
+3 Armor
Firebolt skill-+30 Damage,+15 Mana Cost
new skill: Chain Heal:100 HP replenished, 50 Mana Cost
Every Level Up:
+40 Hp
+50 Sp
+1 Armor
Firebolt skill: +30 Damage,+15 Mana Cost
Chain Heal:+20 HP replenished, +20 Mana Cost

Dark Magician
At Moment of Upgrade:
+40 HP
+200 Sp
+1 Armor
Firebolt skill-+50 Damage,+30 Mana Cost
New Skill-Double Firebolt- releases to firebolt(this skill is available every 3rd cast: 1 firebolt, 1 fire bolt ,double firbolt,1 fire bolt,1 fire bolt, double firebolt)
Every Level Up:
+25 Hp
+80 Sp
+.5 Armor
Firebolt skill: +50 Damage,+30 Mana Cost

i've got a new idea for the features of the game
The idea of having God-given skills.....

God-Given skills

Both Faction Has 4 Gods
Mainly: Fire God,Water God,Terra God, Wind God
There will be 4 altars at each base and 1 for each God...
Different Heroes would receive their own unique skills from the Gods(Different Heroes=Different Skills)
To obtain the God-Given Skill, players should do a quest, like killing monsters, getting this and that....
Quests are available at each God's Altar....
When a player is done with his/her quest , that player would receive the God-Given skill....

White mage is from final fantasy, similar to priest.. Like priests, they learn support and heal spell..

Dark Mage(aka Black mage) is also from final fantasy, similar to warlocks and Wizards.. They learn offensive spells..

Just thinkin' ^_^

Why Terra instead of Earth? Better if as ATLAS teh Titan of something invovled to earth. (Not Gaia)

Lightning? Darkness/Chaos? Light? Speed?
