best dummy spells

what are the best dummy spells for:
1. spell with no target (ex. a unit clicks the spell the spell goes off instantly)
2. Spell with a unit target (ex. you select spell then target a unit)
3. spell with an aoe targeted area (ex flamestrike but i think flamestrike would be a bad dummy spell for some reason)
4. spell with a targeted area (like dota's POTM arrow when you have to select its like your targeting a unit but you can click anywhere, somehwat like attack ground)

single target- firebolt
Aoe target- Cluster rockets
no clue

thats what i use

1) Warstomp (if you want stun), Thunderclap (if you don't)
2) Stormbolt (if you want stun), Acid Bomb (if you don't, it lacks instantaneous damage but you can work around that)
3) Not really sure, most spells I know of with that targeting have a stun
4) Carrion Swarm/Crushing Wave

he wants point and unit taget at 4.

He said that he wants the targeting to be like a unit-targeted spell (i.e. with the little crosshair) but it can target ground, there wasn't any mention of both it allowing both unit and point targeting

Anyway, I'm slightly confused By dummy spells, do you mean for a dummy unit, or as a base for a triggered spell? If it's for a dummy unit, read post 2 and 3, if it's a triggered spell base, Channel is best for all 4

channel cannot be used for 3 because channel does not show an area of effect if you use it.

for 3 you can use blizzard or flame strike

Data - Options -> Check 'Targeting Image' -> Set your Stats - Area of Effect values

I use channel for everything.
You can change the targets, and add the selection thing if you want.

And you can change the Order ID if you want

Just something to note. Berserk can be cast while in the middle of something else. Channel will interrupt orders.

"Channel" can be found under Hero Abilities, just create a new custom ability and base it on channel.

Just something to note. Berserk can be cast while in the middle of something else. Channel will interrupt orders.

I'm sure there's an option somewhere in channel which does that.

I'm not certain though.

i cant find it
