Can't patch Wc3

I have it installed on my computer, though not patched. And I dunno where the CD is - disappeared into thin air. Tried to download the patch. This error message. Tried to use the Update file in the game folder. Same error message. Any ideas?

Running Windows 7 on an Acer Aspire 5930G.

Edit: When using the BNUpdate file (that already exists), it can't create the game.dll file (which also exists). Still access denied.

Try running it as an administrator or temporarily turning off the User Account Control (UAC).

It worked, but can't start the game... no error message saying "Insert disc". In fact, no error message at all!

Can you run the task manager and see Warcraft 3 ever appears or you could try running it in compatibility mode to see if that's the issue.

I found my disc, re-installed it so.. problem's solved

You should also register to Battle.net, cause you can just type in the games serial key, and you'll be able to download the game if your cd gets lost or scratched ^^
