Chaos trouble

In the map I'm making, I have it so that when a hero picks up a certain item, he is given the chaos ability, turning him into the same hero essentially, only with a different attack.

I also have it so that when they drop the item, they are reverted back to their original self.

Everything was going fine with my first few tests, until I leveled up the hero. Whenever I drop the item after having leveled up, my hero dies. What am I doing wrong?

use an orb item as the base and set to "Enable Attack Index" to Attack 2 and set the attack 2 on your hero to the appropriate attack stats
