My graphics card has Dual Link DVI-I slot and my monitor has DVI-D. Should I buy a Dual Link DVI-D cable to connect them?

DVI-I (I)ntegrate the ability to plug both VGA and DVI-D into their slots. It's a compatibility thing for legacy monitors.

Buy a DVI-D cable.

This is a pretty good one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186011&cm_re=DVI-_-12-186-011-_-Product

Cheap, and does its job. Good reviews.

It's 6 ft long so if you need more length, Newegg is a great place to fish around for something.

I've bought VGA and DVI cables from Newegg before and all have worked perfectly without any failure.

Thanks, I was just confused about the DVI-I.

I was in the shop already when I created this thread so I couldn't buy the cable you recommended, but I will remember it next time ^^

I believe it's interlaced. And it's doesn't support VGA, but analog.
