INTRODUCTION

Well, welcome to the Cinematic "Music Video Theme". This is a contest well, for people who wants to make a cinematic, but note, the theme is "Music Video". So you must have a good experience about the unit animations.


QUALIFICATIONS​

• The content cinematic must at least last for a minute
• The music must not have foul words
• You are only allowed to use a maximum of 160 x 160 map size
• You cannot protect the map
• It must be original
• You must give credits to the song and the singer
• No offensive contents
• The song must be English
• Must be in cinematic view
• Imported items are allowed credits for the item is needed at the loading screen
• Each contestant must have a unique music, you must include it with your registration

REGISTRATION

Registration is now open for everyone, to register just post your desired music, if somehow you know the music and I did not know it has foul words, you may report it.

POINTS

This will be depending on the audience for your cinematic, they can either merit you or demerit you. But the points must have a formal reason. You can only rate a work once, either you merit it or demerit it. Participants may not vote, they might cause negative points to others for no reasons.

EXTRA POINTS

You can gain extra points from me, I may give you a range of 1-10 extra points for your work. And there will be some judges included, but they may not be included as a contestant, they may give extra 1-5 points. I and the judges may not give negative points.

REGISTRATION FOR JUDGES

You may post here if you want to become a judge, a judge must at least have a total of 75 posts.

DEADLINE

The deadline for this contest is the next 15 days after approval.

FILE SIZE LIMIT

The file size limit would be 12mbs.

COMMENTS MODERATION

You cannot flame in here, I will make sure to reduce you reputation if you do so. Not to harsh anyway XD

PRIZE

The prize would be little for now since I'm the only one who is willing to add your reputation for now, if you are willing to add the reputation of the winner, please infom me by posting in here. Only the champion will receive the prize, i will look into the consolation prizes.

A good example is like, open your TV go to MTV or something, watch some music video and imagine instead those people are the ones performing, imagine a warcraft character with funny moves does the acting in the video.

Okey, I read your point of view in judging. As you said, it depends on audience's response. What if the cinematic is made so well, but the coding is bad like hell?

If it gets laggy or leaking so bad, then it is still under the entertaining quality, if you watched a laggy movie in the net, do you like it, well maybe partly.

Well, is the cinematic gonna being ran once only or it will be ran a few times?

Because it is god damn easy to make if it is only being ran once.. Because everything got messed up.

But it is totally hard to make it can be replayed. (Clean the mess)

I have a lot of stuff going on and am quite busy however, so I might not finish my map (just a warning )

Hmmm, cool idea for a contest but isn't there a good chance that people would dislike a person's work, purely based on the song chosen (i.e. genre). And wouldn't the demo maps be pretty large considering they are gonna have music files in them?

By the way, that quote at the end of your main post, is that Ricki Martin? It rings a bell (an annoying one at that)

Well, the people in here who scores the contestants must have a valid reason for giving a merit or demerit. If they just reason out that what is that song anyway, well I would consider it as invalid.
