Corruption!

This website is overly corrupt which is why you all know I left.

I just want to create a thread which indefinitely will get closed because it opposes said corrupt staff members. Anyways, I just want to say:

Hero is leaving now because of the corruption I saw long ago.
His shit is getting closed because he's complaining how it runs, which is stupid, because it's not like he can start a revolution anyways. This just shows that the staff is weak because they fear one member's opinion. If they didn't, they could have just as easily left it open as they did close it.

Anyways, I just want to say my final words of irony:
Seth Cross closes Hero's leaving thread after he himself made a thread long ago noting his temporary leave...
Hero's may be permanent or temporary, but still, he's a valued member (much more helpful than many mods); and therefore his leaving of the website is a matter which should be noted by a simple thread. But said thread was closed, by Seth Cross.

The Helper agreed himself that this website is a dictatorship, which indeed means that the opinions of the member's does not matter. Corrupt, yes, because this is supposed to be a forums for the peoples not for the admins and moderators.

Good day to all, including those who fell into the pit of corruption.

This is getting stupidly out of hand. Hero's poll was closed because it wasn't going to change anything. As thus, it was going to become a spam fest or a place for people to bitch and be bitched at.

The staff has always been decided by the staff. It happened like that BEFORE Hero and will after Hero. Hero is no savior, no martyr. He wasn't going to change the way things happened and the only thing that would happen is SOME people would find their feelings hurt. And leave.

Which happened. Thus, it's better we put an end to the charade before it started getting steam.

Corruption? The only "Corruption" around here is the book I wrote. You say corruption like this is the government. It's not. You have no guaranteed rights or privileges. Such things are decided by the owner of the forum and his/her staff.

Get over it. Stop your bitching. If you don't like the way things are done, you're more than welcome to follow Hero, leave, and find someplace "better".

Yes, please show us the corruption. I fail to see it. EVERY FORUM I KNOW runs under the same rules: the staff elects the mods and the mods run the site. How hard of a concept is that to grasp? :nuts:

Actually, if you read Hero's thread you would see that I am all for the extra media tags and Seth's technical concerns are of no concern when you have Ace in the house. Ace is busy with the chat and other things. Video tags are cool and I am definitely going to push to add more in the future if I have to code them myself. Not now though.

The site may be a kind of dictatorship but I sure as hell do listen to what the members say. They just have to talk to me. I let issues be voted on and only usually usually dictate the huge decisions (servers, admin appts, new features of the site). There are checks and balances as well. You guys just assume that the admins are all up on what you are talking about when I did not know there were even issues until today.

I never said I want the people to run the site. That'd just be stupid. But the moderators and admins here seem to be the worst choices, they're always uptight and just close things without further thought. They're merely androids assimilated into the thoughts of The Helper. The people should at least have a bit of say in how this website is run, because, currently the suggestions forums seems to be:
User: I have a good idea [insert good idea here]
User2: I agree, we should implement it :O
Mod: No, it's stupid.
Mod2: No, it's stupid [add a reason]
Mod3: No, it's stupid [repeat previous reason plus another]
Admin: No, it's stupid [please note there's no reason]

Honestly, every time I've seen a thread closed, it's been for good reason. If you don't understand, why not PM the mod and ask like that? (although I'm not sure if thats allowed )
