Have you heard of this new search engine? - www.cuil.com

They said they searched three times as many sites as google
and offer various other( better) features.
Cuil launched some days ago but I was on holiday and
had no time to look into it - I searched the forums
but for some reason I haven't found any threads/news about it?!

I like its interface but it gets some odd results.....

Holy, I searched "Anman64" and there was 5 pages on me.

Beats google's 3 pages.

When I type Emperor_Jackal into Cuil I get 2k results compared to google's 3k, meh.

I'll stick with google for the sole reason its white. I don't really like black backgrounded sites.

I've even preferenced Hive Workshop to the White vBulletin theme, even though it makes it 100x harder to navigate.

If you take a closer look at it cuil gives you more results than google.

Google gives 2900 and 21 real results
Cuil gives 2600 an like >35 real results

I rarely go beyond the second page, and usually I check the first few links.

I guess there is one good use for it, if I ever wanna search for something that the government might get pissed at me for;

when you search with Cuil, we do not collect any personally identifiable information, period. We have no idea who sends queries: not by name, not by IP address, and not by cookies (more on this later). Your search history is your business, not ours.

Referring to that article, how it says you can't find any sites on "CuilCrashing", but if you type on Google "Google Crashes" you get a lot XD

Google gets 819 results for "TheDamien." Mostly for social and community websites (there is even a thedamien.com, so I'm guessing TheDamien is only a slightly uncommon username). Cuil gets 2,304 results, but the top ranked appear to be irrelevant.

I tried it out and it is very poor. In its current state it is a non-issue and certainly not a player except for the advertising it seems to be getting.
