Dazzle DVC 90 has issues on my comp...

OK, so i went and bought dazzle dvc 90 for my comp, if you didnt know its a connecting device that plugs into a computer's usb 2.0 slot and connects on the other side to EITHER composite triple jacks OR s-video. So, it allows to to transfer output from a vcr to your comp, via pinnacle systems studio 9. Anyway, i installed pinnacle system studio 9 on my comp, but then realised its old and i only have usb 1.1's. So, even though the device is recognised as being there, it can't be used. So, i go out and buy a USB 2.0 PCI board and it works with just aboot any usb device you can think of-usb sticks, printer-but it says theres a malfunction when i plug the DVC 90 thing into it.

Any ideas anyone?
