Disabled DISBTN

Well, i have to use picture with DISBTN path for my item, but once I pause game (when everything become DISBNT'ed), i see only green boxes instead.
Im sure its possible, just look at dota's muted items - they wont disappear on pauses. So, whats wrong with DISBTN and pauses? how to avoid that without using another collection of icons?

Import the same icon but with 2 separate paths. Meaning the normal and disabled buttons will share the same image. Then again, as for preset WC3 icons, I'm not too sure.

look, we have an item with pic
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNINV_Weapon_Crossbow_10.blp
of course, disabled version would be
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNINV_Weapon_Crossbow_10.blp

but I have a button
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNINV_Weapon_Crossbow_10.blp
as pic, and green box as disabled.

As explained above. And I know what you meant.

Because when you used DISBTN as your active icon ingame, there is no DISBTN for your used DISBTN. Which is why it turned green.

The above idea would/might solve your problem.

Import the same DISBTN icon 'ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNINV_Weapon_Crossbow_10.blp' two times.

But change the paths for each to the respective DISBTN and BTN paths.

well, look here
wc3 doesnt care, which file do u use, he always will search for CommandButtonsDisable\DIS+YOURPATHHERE
so, DISDISBTN fine

Read this if you're still uncertain, you can ignore the first tidbit about
creating icons and just read the section on importing it

there are no info about what happen if user use CommandButtonDisabled path as main pic.

Like vypur said. Import the DISBTN three times. One will be the DISBTN for the main icon. One will be a BTN version with another name, but the disabled icon. And the third will be the DISBTN for the false BTN.
