Failure in patching...

I was trying to help my friend patching his Warcraft 3 from 1.20 to 1.21a but this error occurred...
What should I do?

I think it has something to do with its Registry...

GooD Idea:
If, You need to reinstall warcraft and start a fresh copy, and you lost your cd. you can try this.

When you get a fresh install it should fix the register problem.

You can go to www.blizzard.com and download the game if you have your CD Keys.

Do this by creating an account at http://www.blizzard.com/store/index.xml

Then go to the games section and register the games.

Some other smart dude wrote that in a differnt post. but i pretty sure its right...

Bad Idea:
Unless you relly want me to try to find some werid scary fix...but messing with the regesirty is almost always a bad idea...But then agein its fun sometime

We reinstalled it and it went fine.

You can go to http://warfix.org/prepatch.php, enter the installation patch into the form and click 'get the patch' and run the file. No need to mess with the registry. :thup:

Actually that does involve registries.

Yes it does, but the file to update the registry is automatically generated so you can't break anything.
