What do you actually do when you have started a forum with no goal ?
I only have like 9 members and it is not increasing, so my question is.

How do I start a forum ?

Like, it's just a "everything forum"

Well, 'everything forums' don't last long due to lack of activity. I suggest you get a theme for it, maybe a game?

You have to give people a reason to come to your forum. Maybe you have something interesting to say, maybe you can offer them help with something, whatever but something interesting has to be going on or people will not stay.

I've found it helps if you can get lots of people who know each other to join (e.g. friends from school). That makes lots of interesting conversations spring up...

But, then, that would probably discourage people who didn't know the others from joining...

Didn't you make your forum a fews/a week or 2 ago?

You really can't expect member that soon..
