g800mu doesnt work on my cp

Christmas eve last night, i woke up and found all these presents on the floor.
We chosed to open one each, and then all of the rest on the night.

So i got the g800mu Gaming x7 Keyboard. You dont understand my happiness.

To the problem.

Im running a Compaq nx8220.
(notebook)

It said "PS/2" connection. In that keyboard, it was a PS/2 - USB connector.

All the sound connections and mouse usb connector works. But my keyboard doesnt work.
Is it because of the PS/2 - USB changer?

Yes, it most likely needs a USB 2.0 or higher plug.

Devices like gaming keyboards require a decent amount of electricity to operate and PS/2 ports don't offer the output needed.

(Not 100% sure on this, just speculating, but pretty sure it's correct speculation)
