How do I do timed effects?

I'm using a variety of systems, the two most relevant being xe (with xefx module) and TimerUtils.

I can use xefx + TimerUtils to create a timed effect at a location.

But how do I create a timed effect on a unit?

I am thinking something to do with AIDS and TimerUtils, but I'm not sure exactly how it would work out.

I don't know xe stuff but it's obvious that you don't need T32 here, use TU and a struct, link the instance of the struct to the timer.
