how do i get my nokia phone to talk to the computer

Ok well I don’t now if u support this here but here it goes

Well I have some photos and crap, which need getting rid off.

Well I have a nokia 6085 phone
I have the USB adapter cable
I haven’t been able to find a way to firm ware my phone :banghead:
Well the computer doesn’t seem to want to talk to it I think the problem is in the phone under connection the option for USB data cable is grey how come?

And cellphones 'talk' by sending signals

YES!!!! I spent 1-2 hours on the nokia web site looking for it and found the software it's called Nokia PC Suite and this is what I have come up with which might be wrong


1>I need to get a memory card for phone because the USB lead might only read to a be able to read from a memory card?
2> there is something wrong with the cable?

Some times the cable can be dodgy...but try this first

Start the nokia suite and then plug in the phone end of the connection...plug in the other end to a DIFFERENT USB port and then your phone should ask if you want to PC SUITE or DATA TRANSFER.
Select PC SUITE and the computer should then install the needed drivers...if it dont then its possible the cable..

If the SUITE/TRANSFER comes up on the phone then you have some connection to the computer and its not likely to be the coble unless its an intermittent problem

If its just the drivers that dont install then just try and check on a differnt computer and see waht happens

Thanks I have tried this already no luck :/ so I have been doing some reading on the net and I found a phone called 6080 witch was realised about the same time as 6085 I think when you tried to connect your phone it would come up with enchantment not supported the same thing happened to me :/ but now we tried blue tooth and I can get my dads and myself phone to talk but neither no luck :/
