I have an iPod Touch 4G and have had it since December. Lately the volume has been really low. I've tried different headphones but bothjng is working. Soundheck and the limit are not the problem. Later when I ge home I will check iTunes settings. Anyone else have his problem and know how to fix it?

is there any "equalizer" setting that you can adjust? (raise everything and it will increase the volume of everything)

I did.
It wasn't different.
Though, I did fix it. I played a sound (like an alarm). Nothing happened, but when I backed out from the settings, my music resumed and my music was as loud as before.
I'm not sure why it did this. The only explanation that comes to mind is a glitch with Push Notifications.
Either way, it's fixed now ^_^
