JASS and the NABBS

for this case the title tells my problem i dont know where to post this so i posted the thread here.

For some cases i read this guys tut with the legolas picture and the hulk picture (Forgot names sry)

i learned some stuff but now i got JassCraft. I double-clicked program and i see a huge program with Jass language.

Here are my questions

1: How can i make the Jass work even when i have the dummy unit and the spell
2: I dont see where to get events and conditions
3: i feel like a noob
4: im a big noob at this
5: *cry*

That's the script itself... All it's doing is stating all variable, triggers, and locals.

So which one do i use newgen or vjass

vJass is a language usable in NewGen. It adds more stuff such as private functions.

vJass isn't a downloadable thing... vJass is a LANGUAGE not a program/add-on. It's just improved Jass. Only in NewGen is it possible to write in vJass.

Actually, vJASS is an add-on (to the JASS language that is, and JASSHelper is an add-on), it's only adding additional syntax which, when you actually see the end result, is just plain ol' normal JASS (structs -> global arrays with s_<structname>_ prefixed to the members' names I think, assuming there is no public/private prefix to the struct, library -> moves the script to mapheader, globals block -> similar in effect to libraries)

i don't think it's better to jump right into vJass without learning the basic jass

I think it's a hell lot better jumping straight to vJASS since it's not only easier to use, it's better.

There's no difference really... Jumping straight to vJass is no problem, since you would learn Jass in the proccess.

vJass is an extension of the jass language. Technically its just a preprocessor...
And the language of newgen is vJass, the most advanced thing to come our way since TFT...

In the long run, you'll need NewGen (mainly because the addition of vJASS does make things ALOT easier) - JASScraft is fine for starting (but you don't really have the convienience of immediate testing of code) but as you progress, you will have less need for JASScraft due to lack of vJASS syntax support

The Hulk is emjlr3.

Both are at least moderators, I forget if emjlr3 is an Admin or not.
