Loading a terrain

Is there any way to create a specific terrain without having it pre-placed on the map (thus created entirely through triggers)? Like somehow put the coordinates of every tree on the map in to the trigger editor without doing every one manually?
I'm actually not worried about the terrain so much as the doodads.
I think EotA does this, it has a list of maps you can choose from, then loads the desired map somehow.

Meh, that doesn't really help... that's just random terrain. But ty anyways. Sry I wasn't very descriptive, i'll edit my original post.

There is a system around here that can swap tileset.
And with well placed regions and stuff, you can create the trees quite easily.
But EotA is way too big, it doesn't make sense to change the tileset, it robs the style... The feeling.
You can make art with preplacing in the editor.

It wasn't just the tileset, it's the actual map that i want to be able to change. EotA lets you pick from a list of maps, right?

never heard of this before, but arent they using the 'preload' function? wouldnt it lagg as hell otherwise?
