Ok, so I'm making fights where once they enter the room, a gate closes. How would I make it where if they wipe, the gate opens? Do I have to make a region and do the trigger where no one is in it with the exception of BossA?
That's definetly how I would do it. Have the trigger check for any unit but the boss in the room and open/close the gate based on it. Just make sure the region fills the entire room.

it just might be better if you check for coordinates(x,y) = location of the heroes I suppose... This room should be some kinda of a box or something
and then check the locations of the players heroes/units like for ex.:[lJASS] if x < 500.0 or x > -500.0 and y < 400.0 or y > -400 (you "cut" your box with X-es and Y-es sort of.... ^^

if I haven't messed the signs it should work.
But ofc you could stick to your/Garlic Bread way and "trouble" with exceptions (summons) etc... not really a trouble though : ))
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
