making a file opened by a program reverse

hi, i made my file (blp) opened by windows photo gallery, and now all the blps in that file are opened by that program, how do i change it back to the computer not knowing?

Kyux, try this:

1. Start > Run
2. Type "cmd"
3. Type:

assoc <Your File Format Goes Here> =

4. Press Enter.

Example:

For PNG image files, you want to use MSPaint.exe to open it. (It's Windows Paint) You would type this:

assoc PNG = MSPaint.exe

Just don't do exactly what I tell you to do inside the < >.

i want to reverse that so the comp doesnt know what do to open it with, or will it not make a difference?

I assume you're running Vista / 7. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs. Pick Windows Photo gallery, Choose defaults for this program. Uncheck the .blp extension (I hope it's there ...)

I forgot to tell out that, if you leave this part blank:

assoc <Your Format> = _______________

The red line part empty, it will reset its current associated program to NULL or "Unknown Program".

In short, it will reverse it.
