Making a unit face something instantly

It must be done!

This thread is dedicated to that. I (we) need to try all possible ways to do this.

So far the game cache allows you to save the unit and restore it facing the needed point/angle, but that requires removing the original unit and that can brake your triggers.

Set its turn rate to 0.1 or something.

SetUnitFacing makes it turn at the speed of its turn rate.

The lower the turn rate - the lower the speed of the turn. What will 0.1 give????????

And the SetUnitFacing has a pretty line "over x seconds" that mostly drives everyone crazy -_-

You should increase it to increase turn rate :p.

Anyway, I don't think there's any possible 'instant' way.

Oh, I thought the lower the turn rate, the faster the turn (Like timer events).
well, in that case, make it something massive.

If you have some nice custom model with right bones, you can use SetUnitLookAt with SetUnitFacing to make it turn allmost instantly.
