opening and looking through the mpq files

I really would like to know how to ope and look through the mpq files for wc3. How can i do this? i need to because i want to be able to assign different icons and i want to look through the spell effects and stuff. if someone can help me do this my quests will actually have an icon to represent them, and i'll be able to create special effects on units n stuff... plz help!

It would be very hard to look at the icons or assign them because blizzard invented their own picture format (blp) for war3, and so far as I know nobody has a working viewer for these files.
If you want you can try the program at http://www.cs.tu-berlin.de/~mickyk/cv.html for browsing the MPQ file, but I doubt it would mean much anyway.

If someone knows how to (re)program, they might enjoy ripping the blp scripts from the WC3 program, then make something that they could have a 3d image editor for this. I would buy THAT for a dollar!
