I'm about to actually buy a domain with godaddy.com, and I think i am going to install "simple machines forum" since it's free, but it costs me like 36 $ for the domain.

But will Simple Machines Forum (SMF) work with godaddy ?

I know I'm a newbie noob spoon to this stuff.

I faintly recall hearing something about it NOT working with GoDaddy. =/

And not much unless your forums are very active

Unless your site is huge, no need to put ads, they just ruin them.

You don't put the forums on a domain, you need a host for that.


Domains, without serverspace should be around $10/year.

Try HostGator, But I recommend buying a domain from Name Cheap. Always keep the domain away from host.
