Probably more adjustability. Not sure if Cleave gives special effect or not. Does it? Also, Spellbook + Cleave seems to be the easiest method, so far.

yes, cleave has an effect. just change it to the water elemental1... oh idint see how long ago this thread was posted =P

It is just cleave with the water elemtal missle as an effect, and it uses the unit is attacked event. Thats why dota has used a cooldown on its on attack effects, I dont think it uses a damage detection system.

Jakiros fireballs could be spammed in older maps for example.
