--I get this message every time I try my custom lightning effects, even though I follow all your instructions to the letter. *sigh*...

There is a quote somewhere in the first post that has the colours. Orange is 254/138/14

Open Office

Use this to open .slk if you don't have Excel. Hell, use it even if you do have Excel

The lighting effect doesnt even show up . Nothing happens. units just take damage.

Well, I can't see what image file you used in the .slk, but from the name you gave the entry ("Black Lightning"), I imagine it might be black. That would be the problem, if it's true, because lightning is always created with an additive blend mode. Black will be invisible. There's no way to make a dark lightning.

If that's not it, I don't know what's wrong.
