T-Shirt Design Request

Long ago I ordered two T-Shirts with a dragon logo I made (Exfyre helpt me out).

It looked somewhat like this:

Now I want to order two T-Shirts more with the same dragon. But it's kinda boring with just a dragon on a T-Shirt.
I want something around the dragon, something that makes the dragon more appealing and stand out more (did I use the expressions right?)

I'm terrible with Paint/Gimp/Photoshop. Even the original dragon was made with pen at first.

That's why I need your help.
Could someone please make me a 3000x2500 picture with some kind of fancy effect/eyecandy.
The T-Shirt is going to be white and the dragon black. So I would like the theme/colour of the "effects" to be grey/black/(white?) too.

I was thinking of something like this (Designs by kc102):

If someone could take this job and help me, I would be thankful. And please leave out some space for the dragon.

Bump.

If this request is too much work. Could someone please give me instructions/hints or show me a tutorial on how to make these kind of effects like on those example pictures made by kc102. Thanks.

Just a heads up, if the design is not a Vector its gonna look like crap once it is printed...

(E.x. The one designed by KC is not a vector, when they make it big enough to print on the shirt... its gonna be very pixelated and bad looking.)

Gimp doesn't do Vectors well. Neither does photoshop.

A Vector is an image that doesn't have pixels. Adobe Illustrator and Flash use vector graphics.

Theres a freeware version of illustrator also. http://www.inkscape.org/

I was thinking of adding an effect like this.

It's a so called vector or not?

This isn't a vector. Vectors are usually solid shapes that are made by things called paths. These are like stencils and can be enlarged without loss of quality (since they are just shapes). If you wanted an effect like you posted, then you would need to make a large image at 300 dpi. While this can be done, it takes a lot of computer power.
