so like i want to make it so a hero starts off with low "base" damage but when weilds a sword it gets increased to like 100, and when drops it go's back down to 10.
yeah i dun want the shity anoying +100 green crap, just want pure damage, was thinking about usen a upgrade system, but u cant go backwards in upgrades...
unless i didnt give them an attack, as in 0 damage so theres no icon then gave them the ability "attack" and made damage triggered based....
but the hero would have no icon what so ever...
No this wont* If you read his post clearly he says he wants it to go BACK down when he drops the item, this is by far impossible to do with Upgrades. I'm sorry if I was a little blunt, I just dont like people yelling rudely:
If you just want a static/constant increase, that is no problem at all. Go to your Ability editor, search and find:
Item Permanent Damage Gain.
Use this as a base for two custom abilities, set one of the abilities data to 100, the other two -100.
Go to your Item editor and base two custom items of a random item. Add one custom ability to each custom item, set Use Automatically When Aquired for both to true.
Now when you want your units base damage increased, add the item which you added the custom ability with the positive value. When you want it decreased, add the item which you added the custom ability with negative values.
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
