Heyya, we all know windows 7 has some compatibilty problems with this or that, and a one of the bigger problems is drivers and usb devices....
I'm running a 32-bit version of w7 and i decided to try my old thomson 120g usb wireless network ...... when i installed w7 this summer the drivers and device worked okay but recently i had to get a new hard drive because the S.M.A.R.T was bad, causing random bluescreens and such.
But now when i plug in the usb device windows first of all doesnt recognize it but when i install the driver via disc everything seems to work fine, reboots but it just doesnt work!... theres no reasonable explaination to it and every time i try to open the menu for the 120g it opens and closes simultaniously! i've tried reinstalling a couple of times and its always the same problem!

I feel as if this is some sort of stupid mistake i seem to overlook but.... well....

any help/advice appriciated and cared for with + juicy rep if it works ^^

Uninstall the drivers and install the latest ones from the official "Thomson" website.
